Panel 2: Behold, Emp’s real name. Yeahp, “Emp” is just a family-and-friends abbreviation for her initials. Of course, that’s a bit of a retcon on my part, as she was nicknamed Emp (from Empowered, of course) long before I decided to break y’all off her real name. If I recall correctly, she had many other potential names, but I spiked the earlier versions, each time because they were all too close to the names of acquaintances—or relatives!—of mine.
Panel 3: Behold, Ninjette’s full name; we’d already heard “Kaburagi”—her family/clan name—a few pages earlier, of course. In fact, we’ve already seen her full name in untranslated Japanese earlier in this very story. Those kanji characters and Ninjette’s full name were kindly provided courtesy of my friend Tomoko Saito, who previously contributed translations for her wacky ninjutsu skills—I mean, Ninjette’s ninjutsu skills, not Tomoko’s. Note also that Tomoko kicked in a few of the yaoi doujinshi pages from this volume’s previous story.
