?Panel 1: Ah, yes, a return to the Joint Superteam Space Station first seen in Empowered vol. 4. I don't think it's a huge SPOILER to hint that this facility will play a key role in the volume's primary plot thread. For the record, I've come to think that the station's shape may be an extremely oblique joke, in that it's shaped like the 10-sided dice used in the old TSR SF role-playing game Star Frontiers, which I used to GM back in high school. See, the station represents a "star frontier" of sorts, more or less? Maybe? (Or maybe not.)
