Amusingly enough, here you can see three of the many different techniques I use to draw Thugboy’s nose—a slash of a nostril next to a shadow in panel 1, a slightly different approach in panel 2, and a semi-realistic, quite likely photoreferenced nose in panel 3. Pretty sure his eyes and nose were referenced from a Japanese model in panel 3—Thugboy is half-Japanese, remember—but his mouth probably wasn’t, for some reason. Mysterious!

And thus ends the brief but, I hope, reasonably sweet story “Not Quite Perfect.” Next time around, matters take a kinky turn with a peculiar chapter titled—wait for it—“Chlorosexuality.”
