I feel this isn’t all that big of a deal for someone picking up a full volume in print or digital form, as they’ll encounter the plot points quite soon upon reading the book. By contrast, webcomic readers didn’t encounter this explanation of the Superdead’s plight until roughly twenty weeks into the volume’s serialization, which is a long time to be waiting for the back cover’s reveal.

Stand by for a sudden flashback tomorrow, folks, as this mention of being buried alive triggers a childhood recollection by a disconcerted Emp. (A childhood cinematic recollection, as it happens.)
