Panel 2: I’ve never discussed this matter in any detail, but “Impregnium X” is the Empverse’s version of a certain (theoretically) invulnerable alloy from a certain other comic-book universe. This miracle metal was previously seen in Empowered vol. 6’s “SuperDirty Jobs” opening scene, being cut by a “superstring bandsaw.”

And yes, “Impregnium X” is a perfectly horrendous label for a (theoretically) invulnerable alloy, which is precisely why I chose that name.

Panel 5: Tomorrow, stand by for another of Empowered vol. 7’s now-familiar Sudden Changes of Location and Timeframe, in an abrupt, jarring cut that the webcomic model (once again) does no favors.
