So, continuing a theme from yesterday, writing these commentaries and prepping a week’s worth of webcomic pages takes about 2 to 2.5 hrs per week, for a range of about 8-10 work hours per month. As I don’t make very much money off the site’s ads, this isn’t a particularly cost-effective use of my time, but I still find it worthwhile to get the comic out to folks who presumably would never have encountered the series otherwise. Plus, hey, it’s fun to see reactions from new readers, even if the protracted, one-page-per-weekday serialization format is emphatically not the way that Empowered was intended to be consumed.

As I said yesterday, I’ll likely have to streamline or cut back on the commentaries at some point, as they consume by far the most time out of the webcomic posting process. Lord knows that keeping a (week)daily-post schedule on my Patreon on top of my day-job work is becoming increasingly difficult, so this is one area where I could cut back on work time. And speaking of the ol’ Patreon:

Today’s Patreon update: We’re prrrrobably continuing serialization of the defunct, Twitter-formatted prose experiment I Am Empowered, which tells the story of Emp's earliest days as a superhero from her first-person POV.
