Panel 3: For some reason I was hearing a great deal of Yankees sports talk a decade ago, hence this scene; perhaps I was listening to Nw York’s WFAN on AM radio at the time? Not sure, to be honest. Nowadays, I’m scarcely aware that the Yankees still exist, as their once-heated rivalry with the Red Sox now seems like an afterthought at best in the New England sports-talk scene.

Panel 4: You might remember that Thugboy moved Ninjette’s suitcases into Emp’s apartment early on in Empowered vol. 4 in the aftermath of vol. 3’s ninja fight.
