Technical problem update: My garbage-tier DSL, which has until recently been merely flaky AF most of the time, has now deteriorated to not working at all for the last day or so. I could live with the low data speeds—welcome to the extremely rural lifestyle, folks!—but having no connection whatsoever is g-d maddening. No idea if or when I’ll actually be able to post this commentary, I’m afraid.

Panel 1: Kudos to Ninjette for trotting out the phrase “ontological cocktease,” though it’s entirely possible that she’s borrowed that term from an earlier Demonlupine rant. (Note that I am perhaps entirely too fond of the recently coined adjective “Demonlupine.”)

Gotta say that I do quite like Ninjette’s pose in this shot. Nicely done, Eight- or Nine-Years-Ago Me!

Panel 2: That tangency between Emp’s shoulder and the edge of Ninjette’s word balloon does bug me a fair bit; not sure why I didn’t leave the balloon’s outline open at that spot, as I did where Kozue’s hair overlapped it at right.
