Panel 4: TBH, "PSHHH" isn't an ideal sound FX for a bathtub faucet like this, but nothing else sprang to mind back then. In fact, not much else is springing to mind right now! One of my ongoing frustrations as a comics creator is how few sound FX read acceptably well to the inscrutable algorithm in my head that determines such readability; that's why I'm constantly if not endlessly reusing the small handful of sound FX that pass muster for me.

Also, note the bath products in the BG of this shot, which is a bit of set design I wish I'd added to Empowered vol.7's extended bathroom to add a li'l more interest to the otherwise spare and featureless setting. Honestly not sure why I didn't do that, as the real-life apartment bathroom that this fictional one is based on had damn near every horizontal surface positively festooned with a bewildering array of bath and beauty products.
