Panel 1: Today's post is not a "cursed page," so I can actually post a link to the Empowered vol.7 flashback scene that first introduced these supervills. Yay!

Panel 2: I vaguely recall webcomic commenters a few years back complaining over—or at least querying skeptically about—why I so often draw Emp's toes pointed when she's hogtied like this. The answer? Because in that pose, I can draw her feet at least semi-decently, as opposed to other angles and positions. Lemme tell ya, folks, the human foot looks like a g-d ungainly meat club when drawn from a maddeningly wide array of possible poses, so many artists such as myself artists tend to repeat the same ones that can be depicted adequately. (In fact, the g-d human thumb is arguably even worse in that department, but that's a rant for another day.)

Panel 3: I seriously considered the idea that Ocelotina actually has superpowers now, with the rationale being that some supervillain or other type of ultra-techy/magical/whatever Empverse character who was a big fan (or Patreon Patron?) of hers just up and granted Ocelotina powers as a gift. (I'm told that this more or less happened with Marvel's Black Cat, but don't quite care enough to look up the reference.)

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
