Panel 3: Big Pouty (Princess?) Lipped Emp Alert in this shot, folks!

Panels 3-4: Interesting to see that I've been doing the "word balloon bridging panels" approach as far back as 2011, or whenever the hell I drew this (deleted) scene. I still use the riff nowadays as a means of getting away with the otherwise somewhat dodgy storytelling practice of placing a stack of two panels next to a larger panel.

Panel 6: The "Seven Gods" bit is presumably not a direct, full-on Game of Thrones reference, in the sense that I don't think Emp would actually be fantasizing about inhabiting Westeros or the like.

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
