Panel 1: No way that Emp would be standing that g-d close to ol' Ghost Writer, TBH, but I didn't feel like pulling the camera back or enlarging the panel to properly depict the literal and figurative distance between them.

Panel 4: Enjoy a fairly rare word-balloon placement at left, here, with Emp's first two statements devoid of pointy "balloon tails" clarifying exactly who's speaking. Note that the sequence still works just fine, given that it's quite obvious that Emp is in mid-rant. I can guarantee you that, if this panel had been lettered by modern-era comics letterers, they would've added a very long and very awkward balloon tail looping over Ghost Writer's helmet and pointing over to Emp. (Modern comics letterers are, in other words, terrified of not making it absolutely g-d clear who's speaking a given word balloon, regardless of how clumsy, grating, or straight-up incompetent the results might look.)

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
