Note that this isn't Emp's first encounter with the smartfiber restraint membrane, as it was previously used on her way back in a story featured in Empowered vol. 3.

For the record, nitpickers already working up comments, this version of the restraint membrane is fully oxygen-permeable, so the target is in no danger of asphyxiation; however, I didn't feel like breaking up the flow of this scene to insert some form of factoid clarifying this point. As I've mentioned a few times before, folks, remember that I don't have the unlimited pagecount to counter every g-d bit of nitpickery that quibbling readers might bring up, so you're just gonna have to live with ambiguities and pagecount-saving omissions from time to time.

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
